USSC Money Services Inc. (UMSI) is the newest affiliate of the Universal Storefront Corporation (USSC), one of the Philippines’ most established companies. UMSI has its roots in  telecommunication and experience of handling global remittances through its partnership with Western Union. Now, UMSI serves as the registered and licensed e-money issuer (EMI) of Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas.

HISTORY

2019

USSC Money Services Inc. (UMSI) was officially registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

2020

Registered to operate as Electronic Money Issuer by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas.

2021

UMSI became a certified member of Philippines Payments Management Inc. and an official participant of Instapay and Pesonet.

2022

To reach a wider number of users, UMSI is now an official part of the BancNet Network as Electronic Money Affiliate Issuer.

Looking ahead, UMSI intends to serve the more than 12 million customers of USSC, alongside the millions of unbanked Filipinos in urban centers and remote rural areas. We aim to transition them to a world of cashless transactions with the help of our team of experts in technology, banking, and digital finance. By continuously developing solutions, UMSI provides Filipinos with new ways to transact safely and securely in a world of digital payments.

Antonino Cuarteros is the current Chief Operating Officer of UMSI, which he founded in October 2013.  He is also currently the president and founder of Clear Mind Algorithmic, Inc. (CMAI), from May 2019 to the present day.  He served as the USSC Chief Information Officer for 7 years and Chief Operating Officer for 1 year. During his tenure, he became the driving force behind the digital transformation of USSC and its accompanying IT infrastructure upgrade.
